General Info 1

A 3d animation sequence uses a series of 3d computer generated images to show the appearance of a design for visualisation purposes. 3d animation sequences are often used to show new architectural or product designs. The 3d models are usually static and the cameras are animated to provide a fly-over and / or walk-through of the design or product.

A technical 3d animation is a sequence where the subject is of a technical nature. As with a technical illustration, a technical 3d animation sequence often shows the assembly & operation of something that has several parts or is of complex construction. Click the T3DM logo for an example. This 3d model has 1456 parts made from 3650 objects and uses 370 animation tracks.

Most computer based disc players provide ‘Pause’ and ‘Frame Capture’ options. This enables you to print frames from a 3d sequence when you require a hard copy. Simply pause the video at the frame you require, click the ‘Frame Capture’ button and a copy will be sent to your clipboard. Open your image editing software, then paste and print the image as required.

Every second of a PAL 3d sequence provides the potential for printing up to 25 / 50 different illustrations. Using a disc software player ‘Pause’ and ‘Frame Capture’ options, you can capture and print compressed images. If you need higher quality images, let us know which frames you would like and we will print them from the original uncompressed file at the size you require.

We can work from drawings, sketches, photos, physical models or just an idea. We can assist businesses with the promotion of new designs and assist private inventors who would like to show or demonstrate a new idea or invention. A technical 3d animation sequence can show the assembly & operation of virtually anything and is more informative than a technical illustration.
